Message How slow is slow to connect? Does the engine have to be running? Or is ignition on ok? In my case both were unsuccessful.

The Doc Site helps me find part numbers and part codes, etc. but doesn't give me instructions on how to check the ECU manually. Or am I missing something?

If the ECM was bad wouldn't it throw a code 31?? Have you ever had an ECM go bad that wasn't due to someone accidentally shorting it out?

I could do an electrical components inspection [EF & EC-169] to test the interface to the ECM but the engine runs... pretty well actually, so I'm pretty sure the ECM itself is ok, no? Even so I don't know what signals to test for at the consult port. Plus that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid by having the ConZult software.
